About us
Our Story
The New River Valley Chapter of SHRM was founded in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 1971. Originally, most members were employed by local industries. We serve the New River Valley, a scenic area encompassing Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Dublin, Floyd, Giles, Pulaski, and Radford. We support two student SHRM chapters at Radford University and Virginia Tech.
